The main function of the system is to water the plants by alerting the user about the condition of the soil. When the switch is turned on, the LED will light up to indicate that there is enough power supplied to the circuit and the device is working properly. The moisture sensors will detect the level of moisture of the soil. If the moisture level is below satisfactory, the GSM module will send SMS about the condition of the soil and users have to reply the message in order to open the solenoid valve to let water flow to the plants. In APWAS there are four inputs for the system and produces two outputs. The inputs is a switch which is use to turn on the system and the power supply of the system which is two 5V adapters, one for the Arduino Mega and the other for the GSM module. Through this page, we will show all the technologies used and how we connect these technologies in APWAS.
